National Children’s Choir

Date: May 13, 2015 Author: admin Categories: General, Scroller

Formed by Seán Creamer in 1985 to celebrate ‘European Music Year’, the National Children's Choir has enjoyed tremendous success to date. The NCC is much more than large groups of children singing magnificent music to adoring parents, families and friends on local stages and in our National Concert Hall. It is a philosophy, a way of thinking about and celebrating children's musicality. As a movement it absorbs their energy and gives it back in multiples.     This year’s concerts (2015) were the sixteenth in a series of bi-annual concerts. Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa were honoured to take part and much praise and thanks must go to Múinteoir Siobhán and Múinteoir Rosemary for the great work they put in preparing the children this event.  Of course, it would be remiss not to mention the real stars of the show, the pupils, who performed admirably on the night to the delight of all present.     Well done to all involved.  It truly was an unforgettable experience and we look forward to the next instalment in 2017.
