Christmas Pageant

December was a really busy month in our school.  Every class was taking part in our school pageant and there was a lot of work to do!   The boys and girls in Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class had the very important job of dressing up as different characters to tell the Christmas story.  We were the angels, shepherds and innkeepers.  Some of the children from the older classes dressed up too.  The children in 2nd up to 6th class were all part of the choir and they had a lot of songs to learn.   We practised in the school halla for a few weeks and when the pageant was getting close we got our costumes organised and went to the church to learn what we had to do.  We were so well behaved and worked so hard and we only had to go to the church a few times.  All the teachers were so impressed!   On Monday the 15th of December we invited the local pre-schools, the senior citizens and some Mums and Dads who couldn't come on the big night, to our dress rehearsal.  We were a little bit nervous so it was great to have a rehearsal in front of an audience!   On Tuesday night we had the big performance.  It was so exciting! Everyone had a great time and our families and friends were very proud of us.  We really enjoyed the Christmas Pageant.  Thank you to everyone who helped us to prepare in any way and thank you to everyone who came to watch!
